In the Eastern Conference in the NHL there are only 5 points seperating the top 7 teams which are the Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, Dertroit Red Wings, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Washington Capitals.
