I think 80 is old because it is older than me.

When your 80, you're probably living in a nursing home, and can't visit your family, you have to eat pre-chewed food, and can't go to the bathroom by yourself.  You can't walk very straight, and be  likelier to more diseases then when you were younger.  You might have to get sugery, or take pills for arthritis pain, you can't play like you used to 80 years ago.  You may fall asleep duing a movie, or even in the bathtub!  You can't take a shower, and you have very fragile bones that snap .

        My second reason of 80years old being old is you  have grey hair and your hair gets ugly and not nice looking. It gets all notty and you will have to comb it lots.

   My last reason that 80 is old is because lot's of people 80 and over aren't as active as any other younger people. You don't see very many 80 year olds running around the yard with there grand kids. At 80 most people are sitting or laying inside watching tv or sleeping. Lot's of people can't run at 80 cause their hips and legs are to sore. Another reason is cause they are in a nursing home and can't get out and be active.

In this story I'm going to tell you how old is old. I think 60 is old and that’s only my opinion                                                                                                                                           I think 60 is old because you get wrinkly. Then you have to use a cream or get a face lift because you’re not beautiful enough, but of course that’s ladies. Men are just like “well that’s life”. So when women get wrinkles they worry so much and freak out. Then on the other hand men are emptying the chip bags instead of dusting off the treadmill and going for a run.                                                Another reason I think 60 is old because you’re not as active. So you can’t kick a couple field goals or get a couple Touch downs. When your 60 you’re so lazy and you’re not as active It would suck just to sit on the couch and watch curling in a nursing home. That’s another reason why 60 is old.                                        My last reason is you are more fragile. When you are young you tackle and body check people all the time and your fine. Then when you are old you have a good chance of breaking a bone if you do that. If you are fragile you probably need to stay in a nursing home or the hospital. If you are fragile you are more vulnerable to diseases or sickness. That is my last reason why I think 60 is old.                 I just gave 3 reasons why I think 60 is old. 60 does not have to be old if you stay healthy, but in my opinion 60 is old.

In this story I will be telling you how old is old. My old is inbetween 65 and 70.
      One of the resons why I think inbetween 65 and 70 is old is beacuse you have either retired or are retiring. When you are retired you have quit your job and sit at home to do your hobbies. You can go on holidays if you feel like it and have saved the money. Also you can look after granchildren if you have any or go to your friends house and have coffe and that kind of stuff. Really covering retired up you can do anything you want.
       I think another reson is that your bones get older and weaker. So with your bones beingin to get weaker you get less active. With weak bones you can play baseball like you used to and ride bikes stuff that uses slot of muscle and bone bending. I Kown like my grandma and papa have arthritis and can't to the stuff they used to be able to do . They also can't use the muscle and bone they used to.
     My last reson why I i think that this age is old is because of diseases, like Alzheimer's. Alzheimers is when you begin to loose your memory and forget a lot of thing. Another disease is arthritis, arthritis is when your muscles get all seized up and are knoted. My last disease is diabetis type 2. Diabetis is when your panchris stops producing incilin for you.

How old is old? In my opinion old is 75 years. It's older than me (12).


   My first reason of 75 years old is it's farther away from my age which is 12. When someone who is young like me 75 is a long way away. If someone is young they think older is a long way away to them. Twelve is young if you are old like 75 years old. Most little at a young age want to become older so they can do a lot more things.


   The second reason of 75 years old is that you are more easily bruised. You move slower than what you used to when you are young. It takes longer to do something. You get tired a lot more easily. You could become death or have hard times breathing.


   For my third reason of 75 years old is the medical bills start to add up. It's harder to do things that involve bending down because of your old bones. You could go blind or have a serious problem. Your bones and all that are fragile so they break real easy. You might need to use medical care and other things such as a cane.

How old is old? In my opinion 60years old is old for me.

My first reason is that u are not really active you might even be in a weele chair. You can't lift any thing heavy like a water jug and your bones are week.

My second reason is when you are 60 years you will be retired and you will get home servers and u will need help showering getting on your cloths.

My third reason is you get more tired and you take medication and you will grow white and grey hair.

So that's what I think of how old is old. I will be there some day and get old. 👵👴

How old is old?to me old is seventy years is old to me.

My first reason is when you get to  the seventies  you usually  get help at your house or you go to a nursing home because you get weaker and u might struggle  a bit.

My second reason is if you are seventy years old you can't play some sports like hockey, baseball, and football because your bones will get weaker and  you will get weaker so u are not able to play.

My third reason is u might not be able to drive a car or a truck because you might altzheimers or you might also get deaf so I can't hear or you might become blind so u can't see when a car comes or become paralyzed do u can't move.

How old is old? To me old is about 75 years old. That is just my opinion. 
      My first reason is because lot's of people live to just over 75 years old. If people die before 75 years old it usually because of an accident or illness. Most guys live until 84 on average. Women live to about 86 on average.  So women live about two years longer on average.
      Another reason that I think 75 is old is; lot's of people are in or going into nursing homes. A nursing home is is when you don't take care of yourself anymore and other people do. Most people get put in the nursing home by their children or other family members. When you walk into a nursing home you usually don't see people 40 years old. You usually see people in there 70's and above.
      My last reason that 75 is old is because lot's of people 75 and over aren't as active as any other younger people. You don't see very many 75+ year olds running around the yard with there grand kids. At 75 most people are sitting or laying inside watching tv or sleeping. In my opinion, I think 92 is old. So in this short story I will tell you why.

My first reason is that my great-grandma is 92. She lives in Calgary, Alberta. She resides in an assisted living senior complex. She lives there  because her one daughter (My grandma is still alive!!)and husband have passed on and she needs help with basic needs. I wish we lived closer to her.

The second reason why I think 92 is old is because 92 is only 8 years away from 100, and living to be 100 is a big deal! 100 years is a long time. If anyone who's reading this is 100 or close to 100, awesome!!! That is so cool!!!

The third and last reason why I think 92 is old is because my great-grandma can't remember much anymore. I guess as you get older, you start to lose your memory. There is nothing wrong with that, though I wish she would remember who I was and not mistake me for my mom when I see her. Sometimes she doesn't even remember her own name. I feel bad for her, but I know she's somewhere nice. 

So those are my reasons!! I hope you enjoyed my little story! Even though I think 92 is old, maybe you have a different opinion. Anyways, thanks again!! And remember, if you consider yourself old, keep living your life until you can't and you won't regret a bit of it!!!

    I think 90 and over is old.  My G.G (Great Grandmother) is 92, and she isn't as active as she was 80 years ago

    If you're over 90, you're probably close to dieing, or already on your death bed.  You can't climb the stairs very well, you can't do extream sports (poor elderlys), and your friends maybe past on already.  You may have to start working on your will!  I couldn't belive having to write my will at all!  You may have to get transplants (heart, kidney etc.)

    Everyone knows that you're only as old as you feel, thats not always true.  When you get older, joints don't move as well as they used to.  It's just too hard on your fragile bones.  Because you're so fragile, it might be hard to go on a motorcycle.   It might be hard to do alot of everything!

  Something I learned about this is, that everyone is young at heart, fragile bones or not!  Hope you enjoyed reading this!!!  :)

          My first reason is that you're probably retired and looking at different care homes. You need weekly check ups and daily pills.  You have your own nurse and doctor that take care of you. You got a new came last week and had coffee with your old friends and you take a taxi back to your home.
           All your grandkids stop by for a visit but you have to send them a home for your daily nap. They come over to clean your house and cut the lawn while your wife makes you soup and a sandwich. Your grandkids try to tell you a story but you can't hear anything because you forgot to turn your hearing aid on. You will forget everything.
           Your tattoo you got when you were young is now all wrinkly and gross. You and your friends made a deal to all get tattoos but now you'll regret it. You pull out your old dusty photo album and show the pictures to your pals. While your wife is out Christmas shopping you take a long nap while someone's snow blowing your driveway. You'll be lucky to have neighbours.
             Does Green go with my yellow pants are with my burgundy ones. You don't have a sense of style. All your tires are either polkadotted or plaid. The cat sleeps on your clothes which makes them all hairy. Morning will come and you'll be reaching for your teeth.

          How old is old? In my perspective 70 and older is old.

     

          My first reason is I think 70 is old because mostly everyone lives to 20, not as many people live to 70 and older. When you are 20 you go on long runs, when you are 70 and older soon you will be living in a nursing home. You might have a hearing aid or hearing problems. You also might have to get surgery for your knees and other places you might need replacements. Also your family will have to come and visit you, you couldn't go and visit your grandchildren.

          My second reason is that not many people consider 20 old they consider 70 and older old. If you didn't live in a care home you would have to pay people to cut your lawn/grass. Your grandkids would come visit to you all the time while your husband is sleeping on the couch. You and your grandkids would make wonderful crafts of all kinds! Then you would send them to bed so you could get to bed by 7:30 p.m. ! In a care home you could do none of that, except sleep.

          My third reason is when people that are in there 40s, 50s and 60s say "oh I'm getting old" or "Oh, my back aches"! After they work out or play with us or even get up after they were on the floor or couch they complain about there back. Or when I ask if we can play they will say "no, my back hurts" or "no, I'm getting to old". I end up having to play with my brother or sister. Even though my dad does that sometimes he sometimes doesn't and it's really fun.

       I really likes doing this project because there was the funny moments (thinking about people I know). I wonder what will happen to me!

  When you get old you can be in a nursing home. If you are in a nursing home you my need help bathing, walking, eating and etc. when you are 70 or older you start to get wrinkled and the you may need moisture R to keep healthy skin again. And if you where old you could have better health care and health. With the nureses there if you would need help you and your family.

    If you where old and in a nursing home you couldn't do the stuff that you wanted. If you where in a nursing home and had a pet you would have to give it away. And you couldn't walk your dog anymore if you did. If you get sick they will be there for you and your family. They will give you the medicine that you will need for the illness.

     Some people retire when they get older. Some peolpe move south after retirement. Some older people that are are retired have places that they wanted to go they can now because of their free time. Some older people have more time to spend with family and friends. Some older people go an vacations.

   So in the long run it would be nice to be old but the illnesses would not be nice. How old do you think old is.

 I think sixty is old because you usually retire near sixty. You don't see people retiring near twenty. They will go to retirement homes. No one near twenty will go to a retirement home. They go to retirement homes for more care. 

 More people die near sixty. That is why people say you die young when you're twenty. When you are sixty, you die old. They will sometimes get diseases near sixty. That is one way they will die.

 You are less active when you are sixty. Your bones become brittle. You can't move as easily. They don't jump on trampolines. Or jog down the street. It hurts them to move.

Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers

To change a mixed number into an improper fraction, you multiply the denominator by the whole number, then add the numerator. To change it back, you see how many times the denominator goes into the numerator. That will be yor whole number. Then, the number left over will become the numerator and the denominator stays the same.
